Development Updates

This week, we put out a few hotfixes aimed to address some of the issues introduced in our most recent patch. For full details on these fixes, check out the hotfix notes here and here.
We also have another small patch scheduled to launch soon that’s going to be making some adjustments to the Ice Cave to make it just a little more bearable. These changes will include:

  • Increased temperature throughout the cave
  • Reduced HP and damage across the board for all creatures found in the Ice Cave
  • Additional drops from all creatures found in the Ice Cave, like Runes of
  • Warmth, food, high-quality Schemas, and more.

For full details on the changes being made to the Ice Cave and Dark and Light, be sure to check out the full patch notes on Steam or on our official forums once it drops!
As always, head over to our official forums[dnlbbs.snail.com] or /r/DarkandLight to share your thoughts and feedback on recent patches and the state of the game with our team!
Tales From Archos
The ever-changing land of Archos is full of adventures and trials. Over this past week, we’ve continued to see and hear tales from Adventurers across the land. Here are this week’s Tales from Archos!
Stg. Skipper looks over at the finished construction of the House’s amazing new dwelling.

No reason to make one meal at a time. dasBaum monitors their many roaring camp fires.

Mundo checks over the map of Archos one more time before heading out into the dangerous wilderness.

No longer just a myth, Ego_Of_Impaler shows us all his stunning (if a bit small) pegasus.

There has been a lot of buzz about many of the new mechanics added in our last content patch. /u/Xanjis has put together a video introducing bees and their many uses. Check out this excellent guide here.
Finally, to commemorate our 10th issue of The Archos Herald, we’d like to share a little something we put together from all of our favorite screenshots that we’ve collected from the community (as well as a few of our own assets):

We know we still have a lot of work to do, but we’re in it for the long haul, so we’re looking forward to seeing more of your community creations as we continue through Dark and Light’s Early Access period and well into release!
Back to Basics – Blackice Peak Creatures

Kaid is back with an informational video about the new creatures introduced in our Blackice Peaks patch! This week, she takes a look at the tamable creatures, including the Albino Deer, Savage Cyclops, and Vicious Hyena! You can check our the full video here, and be sure to check back next week when she covers the new creatures in the Ice Cave!
